Marissa leads group nutrition education classes within outpatient programs across New Jersey, helping clients integrate practical nutrition strategies into their recovery plans. She empowers individuals to make realistic, sustainable dietary changes that support long-term healing.

Her bi-weekly classes are designed to reinforce and encourage meaningful behavior change over time. By emphasizing that nutrition is a foundational and accessible part of recovery, Marissa makes healthy eating feel achievable rather than overwhelming.

Each class explores a different nutrition-focused topic, and sessions conclude with a live culinary demonstration—showing just how simple it can be to prepare nourishing meals and snacks at home.

Are you a virtual or in-person nutrition practice?

I offer both in person and virtual! My office is located in Butler, New Jersey. If you're further away but know we are a good fit we can still work together virtually through a HIPPA compliant platform. You'll be able to have your visit from the comfort of your own home without the hassle of coming into an office, allowing for more flexibility and accountability.

Yes, you can set up a singular session but a single appointment or two will not allow you the time to make the long lasting change I encourage my clients to use all follow ups and some decide to pay privately when insurance no longer covers their visits. I also offer different programs that include yoga and meal planning services. My goal is to set you up for success so you can implement the strategies and achieve your goals. In addition with family nutrition, it’s important to build a a comfortable and trusting relationships with your children which does not happen after just one session. We'll get you or your family to your goals step by step and I'll be there every step of the way and to help keep you accountable. I'm here to guide and support you.

My programs are designed for the person who is serious and committed to making long lasting change, in order to improve their overall health and relationship with food. My approach is highly collaborative in that we form a partnership. I support and guide you every step of the way, while helping you to keep yourself accountable. 
For individuals, If you are looking for a “quick fix” or “diet” this program is not for you. We'll take a step-by-step approach where you feel empowered to make changes and to manage your health for life. I’ll provide you with the tools you need to be successful in order to achieve results. You simply need to be with me every step of the way and commit to the process. If that sounds like you, then you are a great fit!

Once we schedule an appointment. I will send you the necessary information to welcome you, as well as to onboard you with my HIPPA compliant platform, “Practice Better”. This platform will be your “home base” where everything will be housed so that communicating will be easy! Your instant messaging to me will also be through this platform, as another option to communicate with me directly.

Do you accept insurance?

If you are in the state of New Jersey, I accept insurance with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, Aetna and Cigna. Out of state no problem we can still meet virtually and I am I am happy to offer a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for out of network costs and I do accept FSA or HSA. Please note - yoga services are not covered by insurance.

I will do what I know works best to get you to your goals with my proven strategies and tools, but ultimately your commitment and dedication you put in will dictate the results you desire. This is not something I can guarantee. As your coach, I will be there every step of the way. I will guide you, support you and keep you accountable, but only you have the power to make these life-lasting changes a reality.
